The RDE-418D4 two-stage Gifford-McMahon Cryocooler is SHI’s highest-capacity 4K Cryocooler, with a second-stage capacity of 1.8/2.0 W @ 4.2 K (50/60 Hz). Its optimized design increases cooling performance by 20% over the RDK-415D2 1.0 W 4K Cryocooler, without increasing its physical size or the compressor’s input power. It operates with water and air-cooled helium compressors, including the inverter-driven F-50S and FA-50S.

These 4K Cryocoolers can be found cooling a wide variety of analytical and experimental devices, and offer a very cost effective alternative to open-cycle liquid helium systems.
